It’s been a busy month for Clear Skye. We’ve been big on the event circuit and we’re not slowing down anytime soon. After years of all things virtual, it was good to get on the road—or rather, in the air, across the pond, and back again—to meet face-to-face with friends, customers, and prospects to talk about what we do best: identity.
But don’t take our word for it—hear it straight from KPMG and Sanofi, who spoke on our behalf at IDM Europe and Les Assises. While one took place in The Netherlands and the other the French Riviera, one common thread remained; the best way to carry out identity security is on the platform. The ServiceNow platform to be exact.
Here’s a recap of our time at IDM Europe and Les Assises and a sneak preview of where we’re headed in November.
October Events Recap
Digital transformation and cloud growth are changing business as we know it. As a response, many organizations turn to siloed identity solutions to address the complex business challenges that stem from those changes. The result is compromised security and workflows that don’t support modern business.
A platform approach, in which organizations use their existing business platform (ahem, ServiceNow) for identity and access management (IAM) and identity governance and administration (IGA) capabilities, is the solution. This approach enables businesses to save time, money, and IT headaches by pairing strong identity controls with interfaces, workflows, and processes their teams are already familiar with.
The result is a better user experience, quicker time-to-value, and enhanced security and compliance—who wouldn’t want that? KPMG and Sanofi took the respective stages at IDM Europe and Les Assises to discuss how platform-native identity on ServiceNow can significantly improve business and security posture.
KPMG Senior Manager of Digital Risk Management & Assurance Jacob Mareen presented a session on the convergence of ServiceNow’s IAM capabilities and the advantages of a platform-powered approach to IGA with Clear Skye. He discussed how the Now Platform was used to optimize not just identity programs, but overall business operations. The session also touched on IAM market insights, maturity, and managing client expectations. If you didn’t catch the session, don’t sweat it, you can listen to our recording: https://youtu.be/0hZ7jqUXHNc.

Next up, in a little place called Monaco, Frédéric Balp, Product Manager of Digital Transformation at Sanofi, delivered a testimonial on the benefits of platform-delivered identity. With a presence in more than 100 countries and 100,000+ employees world-wide, it’s easy to understand why managing identities is both a challenge, and of premier importance to this organization.
As Head of Sanofi’s Global On-/Offboarding Program, Frédéric is tasked with the end-to-end employee lifecycle process for internal and external workforces. When onboarding and offboarding are done right, business outcomes include a best-in-class employee experience, improved productivity, compliance, and architecture simplification. Frédéric’s Les Assises session, “Creating Business Value with Identity and Access Governance on ServiceNow,” touched on how Clear Skye helps Sanofi achieve this.
